Dr. Tyler Anderson is a psychiatrist with board certifications in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. He has expertise in the assessment and treatment of a variety of mental health conditions in individuals of all ages. Recognizing the importance of behavioral, cognitive, spiritual, and physical elements of emotional wellness, he takes an integrative approach to mental health beyond medication management alone. Dr. Anderson also believes in collaborating with individuals to find evidence-based treatments they feel comfortable with. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and he serves as an adjunct professor of psychiatry at the University of Utah.

Dr. Anderson earned degrees in music from Snow College and Brigham Young University before completing a master's in healthcare administration at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. While working towards his master's degree, he was employed at an addiction treatment facility. There he was struck both by the number of people who experienced mental health challenges and by their resilience. With those experiences in mind, he entered medical school at the University of Colorado planning to specialize in psychiatry. Following medical school, Dr. Anderson stayed at the University of Colorado for a psychiatry residency. He then completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Utah.

Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with his wife and five children - practicing music, being outside, reading Harry Potter and Roald Dahl, and watching Phineas and Ferb.
