Dr. Broadhead is a licensed psychiatric and family nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Idaho State University. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center for both specialties. She is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of both psychiatric and physical health conditions across the lifespan. She especially loves to work with children and adolescents, but works with all ages and conditions.

Dr. Broadhead has 13 years of combined clinical experience managing medications for psychiatric conditions and chronic or acute health conditions. She is able to use her expertise to understand when physical conditions have an impact on mental health and vice versa. She has worked as an APRN or RN in orthopedics, primary care, urgent care, emergency care, ICU, med/surg, and integrative practice with alternative and holistic therapies. Medications are typically an adjunct to other modalities of treatment and Dr. Broadhead is a medication minimalist. She believes that when used appropriately and safely, medications can be very helpful in a treatment plan, but by also incorporating lifestyle modifications and mental health therapy her patients have the most effective path to wellness.

Dr. Broadhead and her husband, Chad, have a blended family of 9 children who are all adults and have all had their own individual challenges with mental health conditions. She adores her unique and wonderful family. In her spare time, Dr. Broadhead likes to hang out with her 5 grandchildren, read, play and listen to music, travel as much as possible, and enjoy the great outdoors in as many ways as she can.
