Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Testing for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can be helpful to understand difficulties experienced in academic, occupational, and/or social areas. This testing option includes assessing for what used to be known as ADD. Testing takes 2-3 hours to complete and includes multiple self-report questionnaires, a computerized attention test, a thorough interview, and integration of background information. The customized report produced is 5-10 pages and a feedback session for this option lasts 30 minutes.

Emotional Disorders

Testing for emotional disorders can be an important step in identifying disorders which significantly impact an individual’s sense of well-being. A typical evaluation in this area takes 2-3 hours to complete and includes testing related to depression, anxiety, self-concept, social functioning, and other areas. Issues related to suicide and self-harm are also assessed in this option. The process includes multiple measures of emotional functioning, a thorough interview, and integration of background information. The customized report produced is 5-10 pages. A feedback session for this option lasts 30 minutes. Several specific conditions are considered during this option including the following:

  • Mood Disorders
  • Anxiety-Related Disorders

Comprehensive testing for emotional disorders and personality usually takes 4-5 hours to complete. This option includes several measures of emotional functioning/personality, a thorough interview, and an analysis of one’s psychiatric history. Also, the process includes integration of one’s medical history, developmental history, family history, academic history, and other important background information. The customized report produced is 8-12 pages and a feedback session lasts for 45 minutes. This testing option can be especially helpful if an individual is having difficulty benefiting from common mental health treatments or if less common forms of mental illness are suspected. This option can test for the following types of disorders:

Learning Disorders

Testing for learning disorders can be beneficial when academic or occupational impairment does not seem to be fully explained by attention or emotional problems. A full evaluation typically requires 4-8 hours to complete. Measures in this testing option include a full cognitive test, reading tests, writing tests, and math tests. Also, areas related to attention and emotional functioning are included. A thorough interview and integration of background information is also provided in this testing option. The customized report produced is 12-20 pages. This option can specifically assess the following problems:
