Ellen Campbell is a Certified Social Worker. She is passionate about helping adults, teens, children, and their parents, successfully navigate their way through mental distress and behavioral difficulties. Ellen’s primary focus is on increasing an individual’s resiliency and ability to effectively cope with life’s challenges. She utilizes a variety of approaches, including: Family Systems Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sand-Tray Therapy, Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more. Ellen works collaboratively with clients to develop treatment plans that meet each person’s unique needs.
Ellen gained valuable experience working with adults and teens at Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital as a lead therapist and the Intensive Outpatient Program Manager. She created and led a parent/guardian support program to help empower and support families of adolescents in need. Ellen has also worked as a therapist at Vantage Point, a shelter for teens in crisis. These experiences, combined with her personal journey of raising children, helped to solidify her desire to assist others through life’s difficulties and challenges. Ellen approaches each individual with sensitivity and respect. She strives to bring peace and healing to you and your family.
Ellen spends her free time with her husband and seven children doing projects around the house, playing board and card games, reading, and watching movies. She is always in the middle of reading a stack of books, enjoying everything from non-fiction biographies to historical fiction to fantasy novels. Ellen’s idea of an ideal vacation is going on a road trip with her best friend and husband of more than 25 years.
